Game Of Thrones: Ranking Every Season 6 Storyline From Worst To Best

7. The Faceless Men

Game Of Thrones Season 6 Euron Greyjoy Jon Snow
HBO

Key Characters: Arya Stark, Jaqen H'ghar, Lady Crane, the Waif, Walder Frey

Best Moment: "A girl is Arya Stark of Winterfell. And I'm going home."

Worst Moment: Arya gets stabbed by the most obvious disguise ever.

Fans' patience for this storyline ran out in Season 5. When Arya is rendered blind near its end, it caused widespread exasperated groans as viewers realized they would have to wait even longer for Arya to get back to Westeros.

Arya's storyline suffers from way too much filler, and is definitely one that could have been condensed. Although Lady Crane and the play is a welcome addition, things only started picking up after Arya gets stabbed (which, incidentally, is one of the dumbest moments on the show to date, and can be read about more here) .

All the interesting developments happening in Season 6 couldn't save this storyline from being average at best, bogged down by immense tedium leftover from Season 5. Had this taken place over the course of one season instead of two, it would certainly be higher on this list. As it stands, this storyline deserves it place near the middle.

At least it had a "happy" ending. Arya crosses Walder Frey off of her list in brutal fashion, in what was one of the most fan-appreciated scenes to date.

Also, extra shout out to Lady Crane. Thousands of years of medical research have nothing on her miracle soup, which apparently helps cure stab wounds.
