Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Rumours Confirmed By The Trailer
5. Davos Aligns Himself With Jon
The Onion Knight is missing more than just his fingertips after the end of Season 5, which saw the death of the man he served as the right hand of. With Stannis gone (and yes, he is definitely dead, despite the ambiguity of his death scene), there's a question mark over Davos' place in this world. While one option is that he could fulfil his role from the books, which sees him working with Northern Lords and sent to retrieve Rickon Stark, that would make less sense in the show's version of events. More likely is that he stays at the Wall, especially since that's where Melisandre is as well. There's no love lost between the pair, but they don't really have anywhere else to go, and he'll want to stay around to keep on eye on things. That goes further, as he has indeed very much aligned himself to Jon Snow. There's a shot of him standing over his dead body, and another at the very end of the trailer which has him unsheathing Longclaw and ready to take on a mystery figure. Ser Davos has spent most of his time as a follower, but he's going to be a leading part of Season 6, and that can only be a good thing for everyone's favourite Geordie smuggler.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
