Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Ups And 2 Downs From 'Oathbreaker'

3. Ramsay Receives A Gift

Game of Thrones Smalljon Umber Rickon Stark
HBO

If you've watched any of the trailers, either for Season 6 as a whole or this episode specifically, then there's a good chance you saw this one coming. Either way, though, it's a great reveal when Smalljon Umber delivers Ramsay his gift: Rickon Stark.

We haven't seen Rickon since Season 3 (and he's almost unrecognisable now), and it's not exactly a happy return for him. With Sansa gone Ramsay Bolton needed something else to help him hold on to the North, and now he's got it in the form of the youngest Stark, and it's going to be horrible (but also interesting) to see just what he has in store for him and Osha.

Really making this scene, though, was newcomer Smalljon Umber. His father was a scene-stealer back in Season 1, and he's no different, despite his different loyalties. His refusal to bend the knee or swear anoath, not to mention calling Roose Bolton a you-know-what and acknowledging that he knows Ramsay killed him were all great little moments, and he's going to be a character to keep on eye on.
