Game Of Thrones Season 6: 11 Major Implications Of Jon Snow's Return

3. Battle For The North

The Boltons - the cold, calculating Roose and the sick, sadistic Ramsay - currently hold Winterfell and the North, the former seat of House Stark. Stannis Baratheon recently tried to take it from them, but was ultimately defeated. While it was a shame that most of the Battle of Winterfell took place off-screen, it seems as though we're going to get an even bigger version in Season 6. The Battle for the North is going to pit Jon Snow against Ramsay Bolton, with the Northern Lords choosing sides and creating an epic battle at the very least on par with the likes of Blackwater and Hardhome, if not even greater. Exactly what leads to Jon finally heading South from the Wall to do battle with the Boltons is unclear at this stage, but it may have something to do with his sister Sansa's marriage to the former bastard, or perhaps he receives a particularly coloured letter from Winterfell that prompts him to leap into action. Whatever the reason, this is going to be amazing to see.
