Game Of Thrones Season 6: 11 Major Implications Of Jon Snow's Return

6. For The Watch (F**k Olly)

"For the watch." The whole show, as well as the popular meaning of the acronym FTW, changed massively with those three words at the end of Season 5. The mutinous members of the Night's Watch queued up to stab Jon in the back by literally stabbing him in the front, leaving him dying in a pool of blood. His death leaves a power vacuum at Castle Black, insofar as they're in need of a new Lord Commander. What's more, there will be a distinct split between those loyal to Jon and those who conspired to kill him, or at least supported the decision. A Night's Watch Civil War, perhaps. And when Jon comes back, what then for the watch? Surely things can't simply go back to the way they were before. People are going to have to face up to the consequences of their actions, and the Night's Watch may be changed irrevocably. Oh, and f**k Olly!
