Game Of Thrones Season 6: 11 Major Implications Of Jon Snow's Return
5. R+L=J Confirmed
R+l+J is the Game of Thrones theory. Rhaegar and Lyanna had an affair, Jon was the result, Ned raised him as his own, yada yada etc etc, we all know it by now. It feels at this stage that it's really just a plot point waiting to be confirmed, rather than a fan theory that may be true. Having Jon come back from the dead certainly moves us closer to that confirmation, seeing as it suggests a much greater importance for the character than leading the Night's Watch. With the Tower of Joy scene pretty much nailed on for Season 6 as well, that plus Jon's return means that we can finally put the R+L=J theory to bed once and for all by around the middle of next year. And then we'll all have to find a new theory to obsess over. Varys being a merman, anyone?
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
