Game Of Thrones Season 6: Ranking Every Death From Worst To Best
12. Rickon Stark
Cause Of Death: Didn't zig-zag as he ran away from Ramsay Bolton.
Like Osha, Rickon was brought back to the fold after missing two full seasons mostly so he could be killed off. However, his death did at least serve another purpose, as Ramsay was able to use him as a pawn with which to manipulate Jon Snow, and gain an immediate upper-hand in the Battle of the Bastards.
That worked, and would've helped give Ramsay victory if not for the Knights of the Vale. Still, Rickon was destined to die as soon as he was brought back, regardless of whether the Umbers were tricking the Boltons or not (and they weren't). He didn't even utter a single line during Season 6, and due to his age in previous scenes he was the least developed of the Stark children. Losing a Stark was sad, and his death did at least carry stakes in terms of Jon breaking ranks and facing down the Bolton army alone, but ultimately it wasn't the most important or emotional we saw in Season 6, or even in that episode.
