Game Of Thrones Season 8: 10 Crucial Things That Must Happen
6. Jon Learns The Truth
After years and years of theorising, we do finally know that, yes, R+L=J. One person who doesn't know that he's the sum of Rhaegar and Lyanna, however, is Jon himself, because, well, he knows nothing etc etc, but that needs to change in Season 8.
Jon being their child isn't just a small twist, but one that flips the power dynamics of Westeros: all this time, Daenerys has believed herself to be the rightful ruler, but now not only is there another, it just so happens to be her nephew, and the man she's now in love with. For Jon, who never wanted to rule, it means he is the heir to the Iron Throne, and in love with his auntie too.
Suffice to say there's going to be a difficult conversation or two for the pair as they figure all of this out. The focus of the season will be on the battle between the living and the dead, but there needs to be time to explore the reactions to and fallout from this revelation.
