8. Gendry Returns

It's been a long time coming, but this season will FINALLY see the return of Gendry after Ser Davos saved him from the clutches of Melisandre and sent him out across the sea.

It's still unclear what sort of role he's going to play, but he's arguably nowhere near as important as he once was: despite his Baratheon blood, he's no longer the legitimate heir to the throne, and his blood probably isn't all that valuable to Melisandre either.

He is a skilled blacksmith, so he might be key to forging some Valyrian steel weaponry (once Sam has passed that information on, obviously), but he'll have to reappear for that to happen. The suggestion is that Davos and Tyrion go on a mission to King's Landing and encounter him, but whether they're sent specifically to find him or not remains to be seen.

All that matters is he's coming back and that's just the best.
