8. Alfie Allen
GoT Role: Theon Greyjoy
Past Role: Puppet - Lily Allen Music Video Theon Greyjoy inspires both hatred and sympathy in equal measure. He betrayed the family that raised him, the Starks, which is a hateable offense. It's only fair to note though that in the show's narrative he is currently enduring horrendous torture including the loss of his family jewels which is indeed a cause for sympathy. This dichotomy of feelings towards the character makes him compelling, he has made mistakes yet he is suffering for them now which in a way redeems him. Alfie Allen has done a great job of portraying the initially cocksure nature of Theon and more recently the horror and fear of being held captive. Another role I'm sure he had very little say in was one that his pop singer Lily Allen made for him. I may be cheating a bit here as it was a puppet of him as opposed to the man himself but he is referred to by name so I will continue. In her song entitled simply 'Alfie', she takes the time to poke fun at her brother and his recreational drug use while an unflattering muppet version of her brother parades around causing havoc. He's come a long way from being called out in a music video to landing major TV roles, and all credit to him he's a great young talent. That doesn't stop this moment in his then 'career' being amusing to remember though.
