Game Of Thrones: 10 Actors' Past Roles Which Ruin Their Character

7. Liam Cunningham

DavosGoT Role: Ser Davos Seaworth Past Role: Cpt. Ryan - Dog Soldiers How lovely is Davos Seaworth? You just want to give the man a cuddle. Most of this is down to Liam Cunningham's performance and the very wise decision to give him a Geordie accent. He is a loyal follower of Stannis Baratheon and rises above his place in the class system to become his adviser. This leaves him open to ridicule from noblemen who dub him 'The Onion Knight', but as a testament to his character, Davos wears this title with pride, a reminder of where he came from. He is certainly one of the most likeable, selfless characters on the show. Cunningham showed us a different side when he appeared in the British cult classic Dog Soldiers. In it he plays an enigmatic military captain and sole survivor of an attack on his squad. He plays Cpt. Ryan with an aloof contempt which sets him firmly in the villain category. When we discover that the mysterious assailants are in fact werewolves and that Ryan has been bitten and infected, the inevitable conclusion is a lot of gory fun.
