Game Of Thrones: 10 Spoilers Learnt By The Released Episode Titles
2. Jon Is Accused Of Treason Towards The Night's Watch
Having successfully taken command of the Wall's defence and holding it against the Wildling attacks, Jon is accused of treason by former City Watch guard Janos Slynt and his old enemy Ser Alliser Thorne, who have him thrown in the ice cells beneath the Wall. It's reasonable to assume that this will happen during Oathkeeper. As we know (more from the books than the TV show, but it's not the show's fault that you can't hear a character's internal monologue) Jon believes whole-heartedly in the oaths he took to the Night's Watch and means to keep them until the day he dies. He was forced to break them in order to serve the Night's Watch, first by killing Qhorin Halfhand and deserting, and then by infiltrating Mance Rayder's council and sleeping with Ygritte. But inside he was still a Black Brother through and through, doing everything in his power to stay loyal, taking his first opportunity to escape the Wildlings and to bring news of their army to his brothers at the Wall. Jon's oaths are incredibly dear to him and this episode will require him to prove how loyal he remained to the Night's Watch.
