Game Of Thrones Season 4: 10 Book Deviations We'd Love To See
3. Strong Belwas Cameo
If there's any character that fans of the book are pining for, it's Strong Belwas. What Dany's eunuch bodyguard lacks in brains, he makes up for in gal and downright awesomeness. But since it appears that HBO has no interest in adding yet another member to Daenerys' admittedly crowded entourage, maybe twist the mythology a bit and include him in a totally different way. About midway through "A Storm of Swords," Dany parks her army outside of Meereen on the eve of the city's inevitable dragon-sacking. At this point, the masters of Meereen demand that the Breaker of Chains send forth a champion for some one-on-one combat. In the books, this role is played by Belwas. But since it looks like Daario will win the role of the Dany's champion in the adaptation, why not have everyone's favorite eunuch colossus show up for a moment in the sun as the champion of Meereen? Imagine the look on everyone's face when Daario unhorses the mysterious rider, only for him to shed his mask and reveal himself as Strong Belwas. Who then gets brutally cut down by Daario. A fan favorite brought in only to be killed in his first scene? It's approaching "Iron Man 3" territory, which is what makes such a twist so exciting. For those unfamiliar with the books, it'll be a cool one-off character and a badass moment for Daario. For those of us who have read the books, it would be a fun, almost meta moment to keep us on our toes for whatever changes might come next.
