Game Of Thrones Season 4: 5 Places We’d Like To See Explored

1. ValyriaValyria Valyria was the main city of a peninsula of the same name, which became known as the Valyrian Freehold, but the city is now separated from the main land by the Smoking Sea and lies in ruin. The Valyrian Empire was where the Targaryen dynasty originated. Valyria, in its time, was home to most advanced civilisation in the known world. It was the Valryian people who discovered the dragons, and through the dragons they harnessed knowledge and power of sorcery and other advanced trade skills. They became conquerors and established a grand empire until it was all eradicated due to a cataclysmic event known as the Doom. Now, it is but a dead city lying in tatters, and there are few alive today who have been to Valyria and lived to tell the tale. An exception is Euron Greyjoy, "The Crow's Eye", who claims to have returned from the ruins of Valyria. These ruins sound like a fascinating location - said to be full of ancient treasures such as weapons forged of Valyrian Steel (a few of which are present in Westeros). The fact that there is still smoke after all these years shows just how potent this 'Doom' must have been, and there are some who say that Valyria is now demon-infested. As this was a place of magic, I can only imagine that this magic has been corrupted by the Doom, forming demented mutations born of fire and blood. Now there would be a voyage into unknown territory that would be worthy only of the bravest of adventurers, or perhaps the most stupid. If Martin decides to take us there, we would be in for a most hauntingly atmospheric treat. Fingers crossed! Are there any other places you'd like to see explored? Let us know in the comments!
