Games Of Thrones Season 4: 20 Most Hotly Anticipated Moments

11. Arya Gets Needle Back

Needle is one of Arya€™s most treasured possessions, not only because it is her own personal sword, but because it represents her connection to her family; as long as that sword is with her, she is still a Stark of Winterfell. So it was quite tragic when it was stolen away from her by Polliver after she was captured and taken to Harrenhal. When given the chance to escape by Jaqen H€™ghar, she had no choice but to leave it behind, and it has been missing from her since. We know that in season four she is finally going to get it back, and hopefully in much the same fashion as the book. She and the Hound happen upon Polliver and the Tickler at an inn. The Hound gets drunk and picks fight with them, but before the Tickler closes in on him, Arya saves him by jumping on the Tickler€™s back and stabbing him repeatedly while screaming €œIs there gold in the village!€ as a means of mocking him. It is as epic as it is brutal due to it being acted out by a young girl. She reclaims Needle for herself, and she and an injured Hound leave the inn covered in blood. The show version of this event will be different due to the Ticker being prematurely killed by Jagen H€™ghar in season two. This is a tad disappointing, since we won€™t see Arya throwing his line back at him, but as long as the brutality of the scene remains, it should accomplish much of the same effect. What matters though is that Arya gets Needle back, as that is what makes the scene so great, and why this is a highly anticipated moment.
