So much has happened since Dale's grim death in Season 2 that he's been virtually forgotten about, though while his presence is gone, the infamous 'Dale Face' will live on in the hearts of internet 'funny guys' who proceeded to immortalise Dale in meme-form. He bears a definite resemblance between comic book and TV, with Dale even opting to wear the same style bucket hat throughout. The Dales remained a similar age, though their deaths differed slightly, with the comic book events seeing Dale lose his leg to cannibals.
