Gotham: 12 Early Batman Moments That Must Be Adapted

1. Bruce Puts On The Batsuit

Honestly, what more is there to say? This is the moment that will change Gotham City and steer the course of Bruce€™s whole life. It€™s already been announced that the show will end with Bruce putting on the costume, but it cannot be stressed enough how important it is that they get it right. If the writers need inspiration, they need to look to Batman: Mask of the Phantasm: after losing his girlfriend and a chance at a normal life, Bruce turns to the only thing he has left - the mission. Donning the mask for the first time, he turns to face Alfred, who responds with a horrified €œMy God!€ It was simple, haunting and most importantly, memorable, and it's basically exactly what the Gotham scene should aspire towards. However, if the show wants to take things one step further, it shouldn't have Bruce putting on the Batsuit as the final scene; instead it should show a crime taking place in Gotham City at night, preferably something simple like a mugging. Lighting and atmosphere would be key, as the crime should be interrupted by the ominous, long cast of a familiar shadow, and then the flurry of a cape, and the briefest look of fear across the faces of the criminals before the camera cuts to black. A perfect way to end Gotham. What moments from the Batman comics do you want to see in Gotham? Share your thoughts below in the comments thread.
