9. Jim Parsons

While Somerhalder would offer a more balanced and calculated version of the Riddler, if one were to step that up a notch with a "deeper" vocabulary, perhaps they could look no further than Jim Parsons. Any fan of the Big Bang Theory already feels that Parsons character Sheldon lives a life of riddles. He's borderline ADD as it is and could easily harness some of that character into a Gotham TV series Riddler. Although personally I'm not the biggest fan of the Big Bang Theory, or Sheldon Cooper for that matter, there's no denying that he plays a brilliant role on the show. Take the characters idiosyncrasies, obsessive compulsive behavior and mash that into a riddle infused bad guy and it could work. Although a no shot more than a long shot, it would be interesting to see Parsons in such a role.
