Hannibal: 6 Reasons It Should Come Back (And 4 Reasons It Shouldn't)

4. The Rest Of The Cast Might Not Be Into It

While Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen are definitely interested in and, by some accounts, pining for a Hannibal revival, that still leaves the issue of the rest of the cast members.

Laurence Fishburne, Gillian Anderson, Caroline Dhavernas, Raúl Esparza, and all the rest of the cast have yet to make the same noises as the stars. This is important to note because those who have expressed interest in coming back are outnumbered by those who have not nine-to-two.

Sure, characters can be recast and not necessarily every cast member needs to come back for future seasons to work, but we will need at least a vast majority. Without the likes of Anderson, Fishburne, Dhavernas, Arianda, and Chorostecki the previous point on closure for the supporting cast would all but fall apart. Sure, Esparza could be recast considering the state his character was left in when we last saw him, but the rest of the cast is irreplaceable at this point.

We're still very early in the process, but if the vast majority of Hannibal's cast are either uninterested or unable to return, it may not be worth it.
