7. Hannibal Gets Captured And Will Is Injured (Again)
Bryan Fuller confirmed that Episode 8 of the upcoming season would feature a time jump to introduce the audience to Wills new wife Molly, played by Nina Arianda. In Red Dragon, which was the novel that inspired both the Manhunter and Red Dragon films, Wills family plays an important part in the story, as does Hannibal. The events of the story take place after Will is nearly killed by Hannibal and catches him. Will goes to Hannibal in prison for assistance on catching Francis Dolarhyde, who will be portrayed by Richard Armitage in Season 3. Given the time-jump structure, it sounds as if Will is going to be tracking down Hannibal while Dolarhyde commits his crimes. Once Hannibal is incarcerated, the time jump will occur and Jack Crawford will request Wills help as the case goes unsolved. In the story, Hannibal gives Wills home address to Dolarhyde, because serial killers suck and theyre apparently thick as thieves. Dolarhyde attempts to kill Will and his family at their home, leaving Will permanently disfigured. Some rumours purport that more of Red Dragon will be covered in Season 4, so maybe this run Hannibal only gets captured and Will can keep his pretty face... for now.
