5. And Bobby Cannavale's Finally Getting A Great Lead Role
Bobby Cannavale is one of those actors you will definitely recognise, even if the name isn't one you're immediately familiar with. It should be, though, because he's been doing great work for years now, without truly breaking through. He has appeared in the likes of Ant-Man, Modern Family, Nurse Jackie, Chef, and Blue Jasmine, and he's always been good value. His two most recognisable roles are from Will & Grace and Boardwalk Empire. His performances on both of those have earned him Emmy award wins: Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. Now he's got a leading role in a prominent series, and by the looks of things he's having a whale of a time as Richie Finestra, head of American Century Records, and there's a coke-fuelled anti-heroic turn on the cards, that should really catapult him into the spotlight.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
