From: Bart the Daredevil (Season 2, Episode 8) Everyone knows this one. In this, the most famous moment of The Simpsons ever, Homer stops Bart from jumping Springfield Gorge on his skateboard only to accidentally do it himself. Getting caught up in the rush, he thinks he's going to succeed... and then he drops down the gorge, slamming into every rock and jagged edge on the way down. It gets even funnier (for us, a lot more painful for Homer), however, when paramedics put Homer in an ambulance. It crashes and Homer rolls back down the gorge. Arguably the funniest ever scene in Simpsons history and one that properly crowned Homer as the king of slapstick. We could watch Homer hurt himself all day and that's exactly what we have done for twenty five years. Homer has had his head clamped in a closing bridge, crushed by a car and literally been stuck between a rock and a hard place, yet his immortal fall down the gorge is undoubtedly the best of all Homer-bashing moments. Only one other moment beats it to the top spot...
