7. The Power Goes Out At The Baseball Stadium (Episode 6)
Another hilarious moment comes when Frank is invited to send out the opening pitch at a baseball game, and spends much of the episode reminiscing over a similar incident many years earlier, where Frank made a complete fool of himself. When he prepared to give the opening pitch, his hand "slipped", and the ball flew into the air directly above him, hitting him on the end in totally embarrassing style. The thousands-strong crowd, of course, burst out laughing, and that was that. But now, Frank had an opportunity to redeem himself, and it's reasonable to expect that he's probably going to cement his potency by making a great pitch, right? But just as he's about to wind up the pitch...the power cuts out, and Frank is denied his chance for redemption. It's extra hilarious, of course, given the looming energy crisis, serving as an amusing metaphor.
