7. Eve Best As Rhaenys Velaryon
Rhaenys Velaryon, who is a Targaryen by blood, tried and failed to become Queen of the Seven Kingdoms when she was passed over as heir to the throne for her male cousin Viserys. She is a dragon rider and is nicknamed "The Queen Who Never Was" indicating a large amount of resentment and bitterness.
Played by Eve Best, the actress has a large number of credits to her name but is most known for her 51 appearances in the comedy drama Nurse Jackie. She also had a brief turn in the Best Picture winner The King's Speech as Wallis Simpson, the wife of the newly abdicated Duke of Windsor.
Just like Thrones, House of the Dragon will be looking to explore the gender roles of Westeros and combat the ideas of what a woman should and shouldn't be able to control. With characters like Cersei Lannister, Sansa Stark and Daenerys Targaryen to follow, Eve Best has her work cut out for her.
