5. Emma D'Arcy As Rhaenyra Targaryen
Similar to Rhaenys Velaryon, Rhaenyra's character is dealing with the added difficulties her gender provides. The first-born child of King Viserys, Rhaenyra has had the luxurious life of a princess but is denied the right to succeed her father due to the fact she is a woman.
A dragonrider in her own right, expect Rhaenyra to clash with all around her, especially her uncle Daemon who stands as the heir to the throne.
Emma D'Arcy doesn't have too many credits to their name and this is without a doubt going to provide them with their big break (assuming everything is well received). Most known for their role on the short lived paranormal comedy Truth Seekers which only lasted one season, D'Arcy will relish the opportunity to reach a wider audience that House of the Dragon will surely entice.
As one of the five principal characters given official photos so far, expect Rhaenyra to be a major player in the coming season.
