3. It Is The Year's Most Anticipated TV Series
It has been almost three years since season eight of Game of Thrones released to a worse reception than could ever have been previously imagined. Almost three years, and fans of the show are still pissed off, and essentially insulted at what they were given as a send off.
You would be forgiven then, for assuming that that anger would translate across to House of the Dragon as well, but you would be wrong. At least, that's how IMDb tells it with its list of most anticipated shows of 2022.
On this list are some true heavy hitters. The likes of Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk from Marvel Studios, Obi Wan-Kenobi from Star Wars, The Rings of Power, and The Last of Us all rank within the top ten, but above all of them is House of the Dragon. Clearly, Game of Thrones fatigue hasn't quite reached its spin off. At least, not yet.
Whereas it would be easy to see this show as the potential for more disappointment from Westeros, the glass half full types instead may choose to see it as a clean slate and a chance for redemption. Who knows what will happen if these same fans are let down again?
