6. Filthy Loretta Stinson
Parent's sex lives are usually strictly off limits for any son or daughter, yet Barney's mother takes it infinitely further when reminiscing about her previous life as, in her own words, "a dirty whore". This all comes out in the first episode that she ever appears in, shedding some light on why Barney is such a man-slut himself. To Barney she tells of a time when she "spent three weeks with Grand Funk Railroad being passed around like a bong" while she tells Lily a tale of sex with a nameless man in a gas station, to which she claims there "is no thrill equal". For such a sweet older lady to say such vulgar things is horrifying as it is. But, being such a typical motherly character, she could quite easily be any of the audience's own mother, and hearing any parent saying such things is possibly one of the most unsettling things anyone could hear, even if you are Barney Stinson.
