How I Met Your Mother: 10 Shadiest Things Barney Has Ever Done

Barney has done some pretty terrible things in his life, but this one is simply heinous and cannot be overlooked. Although in the show it is kind of passed off as a funny joke, the implications of this statement are not acceptable in the slightest.

During an episode where he talks about all the terrible things he has done to women, he states that he believes he once sold a woman. He says, "I didn't speak the language, but I shook a guy's hand, he gave me the keys to a Mercedes, and I left her there".

The fact that this is simply brushed off as a funny comment in the show is probably due to the fact that at first, it might sound amusing in context. But if you really think about the fact that Barney used a woman for sex, and then sold her to a stranger for a car, and has not even thought about it since then it is horrendous.

This is above just being rude to people, or saying inappropriate things, this is an illegal crime that he has committed that nobody seems to be worried about in the slightest.
