9. Cristine Rose - Virginia Mosby
Wife to Alfred (and then Clint), mother to Ted, one-time kisser to Barney. Cristine Rose's Virginia Mosby character appeared in just eight episodes of How I Met Your Mother, but like her ex-husband, she maintained a crucial role in the overall story.
The Stanford-taught actress hasn't done too much work since HIMYM concluded, however, and hasn't actually acted since 2018. Her most recent role came on the mini-series titled Sharp Objects, where she played Nurse Beverly.
In between playing Virginia and Beverly, though, Rose is also credited for her appearances on NCIS: New Orleans as Hannah Tarlow, Heroes Reborn as Angela Petrelli, How To Get Away With Murder as Wenona Sansbury, and Trial & Error, where she played Josie Davis.
Like former co-star Michael Gross, Cristine has been on the acting scene for quite some time, having debuted as Jackie Kennedy in 1977's The Trial of Lee Harvey Oswald. She hasn't, however, taken up the role of producer or writer in recent years. Now at 70-years-old, perhaps the former Mosby matriarch is looking to settle her life down in her golden years.
