2. "Thank You" For Americanizing the Show

e33e I'm an American, but you know what I like about Doctor Who? How totally unlike anything else it is. It has such delightfully off the wall moments, it has humor, ridiculous monsters and aliens and worlds. Never have I thought "You know what this show needs? More shoot-outs!" But, that is exactly what the Moff decided we needed. Why not? Why not have a shoot-out between River and the Silents while the Doctor uselessly flings his screwdriver around? Also, why don't we make every episode of the next season like an American movie blockbuster? Because if there's one thing everybody loves, it's a lame take-off of Die Hard! asylum Sure, 'Asylum of the Daleks' had its moments... but seriously, imagine that the episode did not have the early surprise appearance of Jenna-Louise Coleman. Now ask yourself, would it have been any good at all if it weren't for that? No, it would be a slow, boring episode that parades as being something it isn't, and which spits in the face of the established history of the show. And speaking of the Daleks...
