Invincible: Every Main Character Ranked Worst To Best
2. Mark Grayson/Invincible
As far as leading characters go, it doesn't get much better than this. Watching Mark Grayson grow is a delight, especially as you have Steven Yuen's likeable performance taking you along the ride. The development of his powers, conflicts with Amber and friendship with William/Eve make him feel authentic yet special. He's the perfect protagonist for this series.
But, while the previous paragraph might have made him sound like your typical perfect superhero, he's far from it. Mark has just the right amount of flaws to keep you invested. His failures in his relationship with Amber are a particularly notable fixture, as his poor decision making led to some dramatic consequences. However, he worked through those issues and came out the other side as a more rounded hero.
It would also be remiss not to discuss the phenomenal dynamic he had with his father. Seeing how loyal and loving they were to each other and where it went, in the end, gave all of Mark's development a clear direction. Seeing him finally take on Omni-Man showed how much he'd grown and how much further he has to go.
Plus, how could you not love his bright and eye-catching costume?
