Dennis has always been fantastic at leading people on, but this came back to haunt him after he accidentally fathered a child in North Dakota under the name Brian LeFevre after the events of "The Gang Beats Boggs". However, in a change of heart, he decided to make right on his fatherly duties and left Paddy's forever.

Of course, this didn't last long, and he was back to the Irish Pub in the first episode of the next season, claiming that he was still going to be Brian's dad, but at a distance.
