It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia: 10 Things That Need To Happen Before The Show Ends

7. Cricket Works At The Bar

IT S ALWAYS SUNNY
FX

The biggest victim of the gang - and series itself - is without a shadow of a doubt, Rickety Cricket. Poor Matthew Mara was a priest, and upstanding member of society before he got involved with Paddy's pub. Now he's a degenerate low-life who has more in common with the dogs he fights than the human race itself. The guy really hasn't got a good life, and seeing him get thrown a small life-line in the guise of charity would be hilarious.

Cricket should definitely end up working at Paddy's, even if its only for one episode. Perhaps Charlie departs for a bit, and they need someone to pick up on the Charlie work. It's hard to deny that Cricket would be a valid candidate, and the gang would likely think of themselves as heroes for giving him a chance to work.

It would be so on-brand for them to attempt to help Cricket by offering him a job, but then making his life worse as they abuse their power over him and throw generosity by the wayside. This is something that would tie the narrative of Cricket up in a neat little bow, showing just how irreversible the effects of the gang have been on him.
