Krypton Season 1: Ranking Every Major Character From Worst To Best
7. Jayna-Zod
Early on in Krypton's first season, Jayna-Zod appeared to be your standard one-dimensional military figure with no mind of their own and insists that all her subordinates must follow orders because "it's not your job to ask questions."
However, it was a very pleasant surprise to see Jayna get some real development and genuinely grow as a character as the season went on.
We got an intimate look at her past and saw exactly how physically and emotionally taxing it was for her to be brought up in the House of Zod, as well as how the house quite literally beats its members into embracing their draconian belief system.
This is why it was a legitimately meaningful and impactful decision for Jayna to go back on everything she stands for to stand up for her daughter who was facing execution, as well as join the Vex's coup against the Voice of Rao.
This is also why you genuinely feel bad for Jayna when it becomes clear that her choices didn't pay off as far as her physical well-being is concerned.
