Mad Men Finale: 10 Things That Happened Next

1. Don Releases A Self-Help Book

It seems the Coke ad has Don Draper returning to Madison Avenue, where he creates one of the most memorable ads of all time out of his experiences on the West Coast. But what about after that? Does he go on forever at Mccann-Erickson? It's difficult to imagine him rising to the top, not because he couldn't do it, just because he doesn't want to. ME is a little too stifling, a bit too oppressive for the show's major protagonist. So where does he go? Well a good bet can be found in his final scenes of the finale. It was in meeting Leonard at the 'therapeutic' sessions in California that he seemed to undergo a real catharsis. It wasn't even sadness at his own condition that seemed to prompt him to tears, rather it was communion with another human being and realising he wasn't alone after all that did it. It wouldn't be too fanciful to imagine him writing a self-help book. He certainly has the literary capability, and it would be expertly marketed, of course. As Weiner recently said 'Don loves winning over strangers', and what better strangers to win over than those that need his help? Also, what better product would their be to sell than himself? What else do you think happened to the characters of Mad Men after the show ended? Share your thoughts below in the comments thread.

Adam Thompson hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
