4. Colleen Wing

Does Colleen deserve such a high place on this list? That's up for debate, but I think it's justifiable by the fact that the Daughter of the Dragon surprisingly has a more important story arc than most of the other characters in The Defenders.

This comes to the fore in the last two episodes of the show. Colleen is a major mover in the Defenders' scheme to bring down the Hand, she is one of their best fighters and she even gets her own character arc resolved when she is finally able to kill Bakuto. Arguably only Matt Murdock has such personal stakes in taking down the Hand.

It's clear that Wing is the honorary fifth Defender, and she probably earns her place in the team more than her boyfriend Danny. Here's hoping for that spin-off with Misty Knight soon.
