10. Stick

Stick's always a reliable character - he shows up, acts like a bit of dick to everyone, warns Matt about the Hand and leaves again - and his role in The Defenders is no different. The twist here is that Stick is actually murdered by Elektra (just as he was trying to murder Iron Fist, sure, but you still feel bad for the guy).

Unfortunately, what with everything going on in the last couple of episodes, we hardly get any fallout from his demise. Matt must have some mighty mixed feelings about the man himself as well as his ex-girlfriend killing his mentor. Again, hopefully this is something that will be touched on in Daredevil season three.
