Marvel's Daredevil: 18 Problems With Season 2
6. Maybe That's Why He's Called 'Stick'?
When Elektra casually strolled back into his life and brought with her a mess of martial arts mysticism with the Hand and Chaste, Matt immediately put his legal life on the backburner and left Karen and Foggy high and dry to represent The Punisher. What was quite possibly the biggest trial they’ll ever come across paled in comparison to Elektra’s needs.
When Karen goes to confront Matt and finds Elektra in his bed, she’s understandably upset. Both because of their romantic link (Matt and Karen’s, not Karen and Elektra’s, unfortunately) and because Matt seemingly ditched them in their greatest time of need for another woman.
But Karen didn’t stop to ask just who the hell Stick was. I mean, if Stick wasn’t standing there, the scene would make a lot of sense. It looked like Matt and Elektra had done the sideways shuffle and were engaging in some pillow talk. But for someone as intuitive and curious as Karen, to not turn around and ask just who the hell the weird, David Carradine-esque, old, blind man was seemed ridiculous.
It’s as if she immediately assumed that Stick was part of a weird, two-thirds handicapped Ménage à trois. Have you heard the one about two blind blokes trying to screw an assassin? Neither have I and that’s the point.
