6. A Change In Tone

While you'd think that elements of the Murdock Papers would necessitate that Daredevil retain its sombre tone, that need not be the case. There exists a wide library of uplifting, spirited stories featuring the Man Without Fear that could inspire Season 4, and given how 3 ended, a tonal shift shouldn't be ruled out - not yet.
During Mark Waid and Chris Samnee's run on Daredevil, they actually used the Murdock Papers to springboard a kind of Matt Murdock - one determined to be happy no matter what life threw at him. Season 3's uplifting conclusion provides a stable platform for Season 4 to take this direction whilst retaining the drama and stakes of its roots as a crime drama and, to be honest, haven't we seen enough of Murdock pushing against his friends?
It appears that the show has too, with the triumvirate of Karen, Foggy and Matt having been restored to its original self in the finale. That's major cause to be excited about Season 4, especially since Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson and Charlie Cox all share such fantastic chemistry, and deserve to share the screen under happier circumstances than they've been used to these last few years.
