The closing scene of Season 3 wasn't all sunshine and rainbows though; by the time the credits began to roll, it became clear that Poindexter was recovering from his run in with Fisk by undergoing an experimental kind of spinal surgery - one that possesses a major connection to the Marvel Universe, and potentially even the X-Men too.

Although adamantium isn't mentioned in the scene, the one performing the metal graft to Bullseye is none other than Kenji Oyama, a character who goes by the name of Lord Dark Wind in the comics and was the surgeon who perfected the process that would eventually see Wolverine get his indestructible metal skeleton. In this case, adamantium has been replaced with "cogmium steel", but Oyama is still referenced by name, making this the second of two MCU Netflix scenes that have teased the impending coming together of Fox's Marvel properties (the X-Men and Fantastic Four) with Disney's own.

But what does this bode for Daredevil specifically? Well, the reference to Wolverine - as well as Poindexter's shifting lenses - could perhaps intimate that we'll see some more of those supernatural elements from Season 2 resurface, and potentially even some stronger connections to the wider MCU. Combine that with Elektra's inevitable return, and it's clear Season 4 is looking to juggle a whole host of different elements - ones that are sure to get Daredevil fans very excited indeed.
