Marvel's The Offenders: 10 Things You Need To Know

Unlike The Avengers and The Defenders, The Offenders is a much more deep dive into Marvel lore. The name stems from a group The Collector assembled in order to opposite the Grandmaster’s The Defenders. The group consitsted of Red Hulk, Baron Mordo, Tiger Shark, and Terrax.

We know that the special will consist of writers and executive producers from its four predecessors and will team up MODOK, Hit Monkey, Tigra, Dazzler, and Howard the Duck to fight a common foe. The name is almost undoubtedly a pun on the Netflix team up, The Defenders.

The Netflix counterpart failed in the eyes of most critics and fans, but this one will be surely different. An adult-themed animated team up of a giant-headed cyborg, a monkey assassin, a Cat-Woman, a light-producing mutant, and an anthropomorphic crude duck is surely to bring in the viewers.

As Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse has shown, if the four shows have variations in their animation style, it could make for an exciting contrast in the culmination.

There is not yet a date for any of the five shows/specials Marvel/Hulu announced.
