NBC cancel UNDERCOVERS

In a predictable move, NBC have axed spy-comedy Undercovers, by not requesting a "back nine" of episodes. The series debuted in September to low ratings and indifferent critical response, despite the fact it was the latest project from TV "golden boy" JJ Abrams (Alias, Lost, Fringe). Recent episodes have been bubbling below 6 million viewers (with a 1.3 rating in the key 18-49 demographic), so NBC have wisely decided to end their suffering. Undercovers, about two married ex-spies called back into active duty (played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Boris Kodjoe), will air its last episode on 1 December. This means there are three episodes that have been produced, but aren't currently scheduled; these will possibly be broadcast in a graveyard slot next year, or more likely saved for the DVD release. I didn't hate Undercovers' pilot, but neither was it particularly original or compelling enough to draw me back for more. It seems most people felt that way, but are you amongst them?
