Orange Is The New Black Season 2: 12 Things That Should Happen
6. Piper Needs To Get Her Love Life In Order
Piper Chapmans love life is a widely-discussed issue. Some fans love Larry, others adore Alex. Whoever it is that tickles your pickle, one things for certain: Piper needs to put an end to the dilly-dallying and commit! Looking toward her fiance Larry, he makes some strange choices. The supposed love of his life is carted off to the pen, and what does he do? He exploits her experience to pen an article for The New Yorker, detailing a series of lavish inaccuracies and passing them off as if Piper told him verbatim. Which, she didnt. He didnt consider her position inside, with his words reverberating around Litchfield, ringing in the ears of the very inmates he derides. He then does the same thing all over again when he appears on the radio. If hes in possession of any redeeming qualities, theyve yet to manifest. His crowning achievement had to be lying to Piper by telling her Alex did NOT implicate her. Tut tut, Larry. Alex lied too. Shes not all sweetness and light in this, but at the very least she had reason (Piper left her the day her mother died) - whereas Larry acted out of selfishness. Piper needs to kick Larry to the curb permanently, and hash it out with Alex. That chemistry... you could bottle it and sell it to a Frenchman.
