13. Mother's Mercy (Season 5, Episode 10)
Where to begin on this episode filled with cliffhangers? Did Brienne kill Stannis (remember the horror movie rule theyre not dead until you see the body)? Did Sansa and Theon survive the jump from the bannerments? Will Cersei get her revenge with her new zombie Mountain? What happened to Aryas eyes? How will Tyrion run Mereen? Are the Dothraki going to help or hurt Dany? And most importantly, is Jon Snow truly dead? This is an exciting episode because, as mentioned in the introduction, now the show-watchers are caught up with the book readers (for the most part). Assuming Martin wont finish The Winds of Winter in the next year (and thats a good assumption), Season 6 will be uncharted territory for all Thrones fans, book readers and non-book readers alike.
