46. Sons Of The Harpy (Season 5, Episode 4)
Season 5 was held in not universally high acclaim, so it should be no revelation to see some of its episodes appearing at the foot of this list, particularly thanks to the curious decisions made by Benioff and Weiss to depart from George R.R. Martins source material in A Feast For Crows and A Dance With Dragons. Some changes were good, some not so good, but there is little positive to take from the big change that came at the end of the episode, with Barristan Selmy's death. The fan favorite character was killed by the Sons Of The Harpy, despite remaining very much alive in the books. To make matters worse, his status at the end of the episode was left ambiguous, as he was saved from having his throat cut by a Harpy by Grey Worm, so viewers had to wait a week (or a month, depending on whether or not they saw the leaked episodes) to find out if Selmy was truly dead or not.
