Ranking All Main Characters From Boardwalk Empire

Someone had to be close to the bottom of the list, and if you've watched even the first episode of the show, you'll understand why Lucy Danziger is so low.

There's nothing boring about the character in the slightest, quite the opposite! Her role as Nucky's former mistress/girlfriend prior to Margaret Schroeder made for an interesting watch, but Paz De La Huerta's delivery of lines was slurring and irritating from the first episode, to her last appearance.

As the series progressed, Lucy's narrative deflated more and more, and even when the character became embroiled with Nelson Van Alden and bore his child, it still wasn't enough to grip viewers.

The end of the character's run on the show wasn't the best dismount either. After taking some money from Nucky, Lucy leaves her newborn baby with Van Alden and scatters to the wind, never to be seen again. While I'm not one for characters dramatically returning, I was expecting her to come back to the show at some point to shake up the playing field or maybe give her character a proper send-off.

Instead, she's barely remembered after the second season and is mentioned only two more times in passing by ancillary characters. You can see why she's at the bottom of the list.
