Upon Apple TV+'s release, it's fair to say that just two shows were making up for 90% of their marketing campaign. Those shows being See and The Morning Show.

Unlike See, however, The Morning Show was a genuinely well-crafted and captivating series based on the very timely exposure of sexual assault allegations in the entertainment industry. Every episode offered something different in terms of narrative and perception, and every episode had unexpected twists that lead to powerplays and fights for survival.

When you assemble a cast with Jennifer Aniston, Steve Carell and Reese Witherspoon in it, you know that you are going to be in for a ride. Each of them made their mark on the series in vastly differing ways, but they all delivered good performances that brought together a wide and sprawling story about the behind the scenes action of a morning television show.

Here's where critically things get interesting, though many critics reacted with apprehension and apathy to the show, the general audience and award associations did not. It was nominated for best drama series at the Golden Globes, as well as garnering nominations for Aniston and Witherspoon's performances. It scored a 93% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, along with an 8.4 on IMDb.

This then may be one of those cases where the critics' initial reaction was proven wrong by the audience and re-evaluated somewhere down the line.

In either case, The Morning Show was a tremendous piece of drama to watch unfold.
