Ranking Every MCU Show From Worst To Best

8. The Defenders

MCU TV Shows Ranked
Netflix/EW

As shown so often in the big-screen action of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, seeing heroes interacting with one another can be all kinds of awesome. Whether that's fighting the good fight alongside one another or butting heads over something, just seeing hero and hero sharing screen time is guaranteed to bring a smile to the face.

When Netflix's world of Marvel shows decided to embark on its own crossover - bringing together Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist - hope was high for the coming together of these characters.

While The Defenders was good, the overall feeling generated by the miniseries was that - at least in the way they were written here - the group's four heroes made for a more appealing watch on their own than collected together.

That said, it admittedly did make for some brilliant TV to see some of the dynamics here play out. In particular, the brutal, bloody ways of Matt Murdock being confronted by the pacifist, peace-embracing nature of Danny Rand was a major highlight of this crossover offering.

If looking at what led to The Defenders being good rather than great, the Hand as the overarching villains of the tale, not to mention the pacing, meant that the eight-episode affair ultimately failed to deliver on its potential.
