10 Greatest Punisher Moments From Daredevil: Season 2

6. A Force Of Nature

The appeal of The Punisher is that he's the boogeyman to the boogeymen. The big, bad Punisher is out to get each and every hardcore criminal and they swap bedtime stories about the man as if he was an ethereal essence, a whirlwind of death's promise.

Which he is. He's nothing but a mortal man yet he is consistently shown as as a force of nature and the first episode exquisitely portrays this. The unrelenting, over-the-top attack on the Irish mob, the hook-up with the Mexican cartel members (as in he actually hung them up on hooks because he's the Punisher), the reference to him cutting down the President of the Dogs of Hell Hell's Kitchen charter and his assault on the hospital to turn Grotto into paste. All done without a message or memento.

No one knows who this man is or what he wants, yet he shook Hell's Kitchen as hard as the Chitauri.

The one word he utters in the entire episode? 'Bang', when he shoots Daredevil in the head, knowing that the armour will take the bullet.

Now that's how you make an entrance, people. Tear up the place with a heavy assault weapon, walk in, hang the first person you see on a giant meat-hook and then find and shoot the most devious-looking person there, right in the face. I guarantee you no one will ever forget it, especially not the police.
