Rick And Morty: All Season 1 Episodes Ranked

3. Meeseeks And Destroy

Rick and Morty Jerry
Adult Swim

Other than the main cast of characters, is there any Rick and Morty character who has become as much of a brand as Mr Meeseeks? The comical blue creatures and their iconic catchphrases ("I'm Mr Meeseeks, look at me!" and "Existence is pain") are among the best loved characters in the show and have been merchandised more than any other character in the show, except Rick and Morty themselves.

Meeseeks and Destroy is certainly a fun ride of the kind Rick and Morty do so well, balancing top-tier entertainment with huge philosophical themes. Only Rick and Morty can take a concept as depressing as existentialism and personify it in such a zany character as Mr Meeseeks.

The Meeseeks subplot aside, the episode features one of Rick's and Morty's best and most popular adventures yet. Morty decides he wants the duo to go on one of his own adventures for once, and his wish is granted. After the decision to pursue a quest to return some villagers' money (in an odd currency called Schmeckles), Rick and Morty find themselves entangled with giants and end up in a bar located on a giant staircase. It's the kind of charming, lively and comical adventure Rick and Morty should go on more often (minus the inappropriate toilet scene, of course).

Rick's iconic catchphrase was also introduced here: "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub!"
